Muhurat for Mangal Kalash Sthapna:
This year Navratri starts at 28 march 2017 and the best muhurat for Kalash sthapna will be on 28 march and time would be from 11 am to 1 pm. Mangal Kalash can be installed in between this time. After installation of mangal kalash let it be there for 9 days.
Kanya Pujan:
Kanya Pujan during Navratri is of extreme importance. In Kanya Pujan teenage girls are worshipped just like they are forms of Maa Durga.
Invite 9 teenage girls (Kumari) to your house, wash their feet, apply mahawar (colour which women apply on feet), give them food to eat (Halwa Puri is compulsory dish for Kanya Pujan) and you can offer what you wish to.
After that light a lamp of ghee (ghee ki aarti) and worship them as if you are worshipping the nine forms of Maa Durga. At the end offer chunri, beetle nut (supari), cardamom to the girls and touch their feet and take their blessings.
